On a recent train ride from San Diego to Los Angeles I was very impressed by the improvements being made to Union Station. There are new signs and video boards strategically placed around the station to make it easier for passengers to find their gates and transfer from Amtrak or Metrolink to the L.A. Metro rail and bus system.
Patsouras Transit Plaza also recently made improvements, including better signage and more comfortable waiting areas for the many buses that stop there for destinations across the Los Angeles Basin.
And L.A. Union Station will only get better as there are major renovation projects set to take place that will make the station a world-class transportation center and a modern high-speed rail hub for the California high-speed rail project currently under construction in the state's Central Valley.
