On a recent visit to Los Angeles I finally got the chance to ride the L.A. Metro Expo Line light rail extension from Culver City to Santa Monica. Now Angelenos can enjoy a one seat ride from downtown Los Angeles to downtown Santa Monica. Passengers can relax while looking out the window at the scenery going by instead of the stress of sitting in traffic on the 10 freeway.
The Expo Line is the pollution-free and stress-free choice. Kudos to L.A. Metro from doing it right -- clean, safe, reliable and affordable.
That's why, according to a new survey conducted by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), 70 percent of Expo Line passengers to Santa Monica are new riders and of those new riders 44 percent used to drive and 23 percent used to take the bus.
