Green Traveler: Boca Raton, Florida Goes Electric

A recent visit to South Florida revealed that the region is going green and going electric. I was staying in Boca Raton for a family event and saw that the Palm Beach County Palm Tran public buses are environmentally friendly biodiesel-electric hybrids. The cleaner burning and more fuel efficient buses are made possible thanks to the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act and Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery grants.

Walking to the Boca Raton shopping mall I was pleasantly surprised to see a Tesla Motors showroom inside the mall. It is great to see Tesla expanding to places like South Florida with Elon Musk's brilliant concept of an American sports and luxury car company that is purely 100% zero emissions electric.

I can wait until most Americans are driving zero emission electric cars charged from a clean energy smart grid!
